SHIPPING QUESTIONS

Information about our shipping, tracking and return can also be found in the Shipping, Tracking and Returns page

Question: Who pays import duty and taxes?

-

Answer: You, the customer, are responsible for all charges at destination. We cannot predict what these charges are and you should request for that information with the relevant government bodies concerned. In our experience, shipments to the US, Australia and Singapore do not have to pay any duty, however for shipments to the EU, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Korea and Japan, there may be duty to pay.

Question: Do you provide a tracking number for my shipment?

-

Answer: Yes, providing you use a courier such as FedEx, UPS and EMS which has a courier service, we will provide you with the tracking number and the link in which to track it so you can see the shipment's progress.

Question: My tracking number does not show up on the link. Why?

-

Answer: In the first day, there are often delays by the courier in getting the tracking number in the system and this is nothing to worry about. Let us know if the number is not in the system after this period.

Question: Is my shipment insured?

-

Answer: Yes, unless you give us instructions to the contrary, your shipment will be value on the waybill. Any damage or loss can then be settled in full by the courier in the event of a claim. Please inform the courier and us immediately if a box has been damaged, even before opening it.

Question: How do I know that my shipment is safe during shipping?

-

Answer: Our experienced team of packers carefully wrap every part in paper/and or bubble wrap or polystyrene foam before placing it into sturdy foam lined cardboard boxes to make sure your shipment is fully protected. Each box is labelled fragile.

Question: Can you give me an instant quotation including shipping?

-

Answer: Usually the website will be able to accurately calculate the shipping charge for your order. However, if the shipment is large (for example complete body kit for several bikes), we prefer to give you an estimate and then give you the exact amount when your shipment is packed and ready to go. We always do our best to make sure you get the best value for money on your shipping charges.

Question: How do you calculate shipping?

-

Answer: We have a custom made feature on our website to efficiently calculate the shipping charge for your order. It takes into consideration the size of the box, the product weight, the quantity and the box weight. It then automatically calculates the correct amount. Unlike some other online businesses, we know what a burden shipping costs can be and in our module it also consolidates shipments into as few boxes as possible to keep shipping costs to an absolute minimum.

Shipping costs are shown on our webstore after you check out your order but before you need to pay. Feel free to click on the back button on your browser and change your cart contents to see how it affects the shipping charge. Play around with the site and it is surprising how much you can save. Remember, on smaller items, the contents often weigh less than the box, so it pays to order as many things as possible in one go.

Question: How long does shipping take?

-

Answer: Shipping by FEDEX or UPS takes two to three working days to most destinations in Europe, Asia, USA or Australia. EMS takes a little longer at around three to five working days.

Question: What courier service does TYGA use to send the shipments?

-

Answer: TYGA-Performance uses either UPS, FedEx, EMS (Express Mail Service) and SAL for most shipments. Occasionally we use another method if the customer gives us special instructions.

Question: Why don't you only use FedEx and UPS if these methods are the fastest

-

Answer: EMS and SAL are a lot cheaper on bulky items such as bodywork, even though we have negotiated excellent discounts with UPS and FedEx which we pass on to our customers. EMS and SAL shipments are only charged on weight and not size so for large bulky items, EMS can be very competitive. We do all in our power to keep shipping to a minimum.

If a shipping quote for your country is not shown on the website or if prefer a slower and cheaper shipping method, we can give you this option and will be happy to quote you for surface or airmail small packet rates etc. However, this cannot be done on the website and you need to send us an email and we will send you a quote by email.
